Abdullahi Bashir Abdinor is a seasoned economist and financial inclusion professional with a strong blend of academic expertise and operational leadership. He holds an MSc in Development Economics from Jigjiga University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Mogadishu University, complemented by postgraduate studies in research and statistics and multiple certifications in data analysis, humanitarian response, and financial systems. With more than eight years of academic experience, he has served as a Senior Lecturer at East Africa University in Bosaso, teaching development economics, econometrics, and macroeconomics, while supervising student research, contributing to curriculum development, and advancing scholarly work.

Abdullahi currently serves as the Operations Manager at Himilo Microfinance Institution (MFI), where he oversees branch operations, credit processes, portfolio quality, and regulatory compliance, including KYC and AML standards. He collaborates closely with partners, government institutions, and community stakeholders, leads multidisciplinary teams, and strengthens institutional performance monitoring and reporting systems.

Alongside his professional responsibilities, Abdullahi contributes to academic research as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Research and Innovation at Red Sea University. A published researcher, he focuses on digital communication and financial constraints in fragile economies. He is proficient in SPSS, STATA, R, EViews, and Excel, leveraging these tools to support data-driven decision-making and institutional development.
