Nairobi- 30th January 2023, Himilo Microfinance institution based in Puntland, Opec Tower, Garowe Main Road, Somalia Federal Republic ( www.himilomfi.com), has contracted Softeye Solutions Ltd ( www.softeyesolutions.com), a Kenyan software company based in the capital city of Kenya to provide and implement its core banking system that will run its digital operation across all branches.
Himilo is a microfinance institution licensed by the Central bank of Somalia under the provisions of act law no. 130 of 22 April 2012 article 5(C) and Article 38(1), to conduct and carry out Microfinance activities in Somalia.
Microfinance offers the following products

⦁ Livestock financing
⦁ SMEs Financing
⦁ Fisheries Financing
⦁ Agribusiness Financing
⦁ Group Loan Financing
The software will help the institution to manage, clients, investments, payroll, and accounting which is purely a web app over the cloud that eases accessibility, integration, reliability, and interoperability of different devices such as Computers, Mobile phones, and tablets.
During the signing of the contract that was executed on 29th January 2023 at Hay Suits, Kilimani Nairobi witnessed by Mr. Muse Said, from Himilo Microfinance Institution, and Mr. Gerald Wambugu, from Softeye Solutions Ltd.
Mr. Muse Said had this to say ”It’s a great honor to entrust our business operation and partner with Softeye Solutions Ltd, as we look into our expansion, we have to get it right from the onset, thus we are happy to have chosen Softeye Solutions as our Technology partner that will improve our efficiency through their core banking software”.
These were the comments of Gerald from Softeye Solutions “We are delighted to onboard our second client from the Republic of Somalia, this shows how the horn of Africa is shunning violence and adopting development over the last couple of years.
