Abdishakour Mohamed Said

Abdishakour has over 12 years of working experience in local economic development, local governance, Project Coordination & Management, Research, Monitoring & Evaluation from various sectors including public institutions, civil society organizations, international & local NGOs, and private sector development. He has an MBA majoring project management from Omdurman University (2009), and a Bachelor of arts in economics and managerial science from International University of Africa, Khartoum Sudan.

He also holds a postgraduate diploma in accounting and finance from Juba University, Khartoum, Sudan. He has been working as a national program officer (Municipal governance and finance) with UN-Habitat Somalia. He contributed project’s implementation plan, including proactive monitoring and reporting, coordinate with the Puntland government and other relevant stakeholders to create a shared vision and understanding. He served as M&E specialist for JPLG project funded by UNDP and implemented by MIOFAD, where he developed a comprehensive M&E framework and implementation plan for all JPLG beneficiary districts. He also worked as local economic development for UN-ILO and successfully contributed in poverty alleviation activities all JPLG project beneficiary districts, he acted focal point for all activities regarding local economic development including creating an atmosphere that all project’s different stakeholders can work together in smooth and effective manner by enable solid communication co-working plans that harmonize all efforts towards projects success.

He used to work as an M&E coordinator for Relief International, Somalia, where he assumed to building the capacity of all project staff, as well as coordinating all M&E activities.
